This new connector is small, can transfer data at twice the speed of the fastest USB-A 3.1 connection, can carry up to 100 watts of power, and is reversible (can’t be inserted upside down). Quite simply, it takes the best features of any and all current small USB-type connectors and rolls them up into one cable with some extra capabilities thrown in.
Although relatively new to the market we have already seen USB-C appearing in a number of devices including Apple’s new 12” MacBook.
This Promaster USB-C cable is a robust 6’ cable with a USB-C male connector on one end and a USB 3.1 A male Gen 2 connector on the other end. It can support the high-speed capabilities of USB-C.
